I'm still sad it isn't Hillary, but I can be happy that it is Barrack Obama. His victory is an incredible testament to the American people's desire for change. This past weekend SpyC and I carved it up at a pumpkin carving party. The first pumpkin is Spyc's, depicting two cats. The other pumpkin is my creation (or re-creation) with a ghost and the word Boo. It's been a long time coming for both, and somehow, without planning it, both goals are coming to fruition at the same time.

While I didn't post a loss this week, I weigh exactly what I weighed last week. Lately, that's a good thing as I seem to go up and down a couple pounds every week. Staying steady is good. Another weigh-in, another pound. This time almost four. Of course, WW yelled at me for losing more than two, but come on, I had gained almost three the two previous weeks. Back off, alright!? I'm correcting my wrongs. This week I weighed-in at 198.2, which is a new all time low for me, and I hope to make it even lower next week.

It's a good thing I run on regular -- SpyC and I filled up at Costco yesterday where there was no premium to be had. Surprisingly prices had plummeted to $3.39 a gallon there. Most of the Triangle is hovering between $3.59 and $3.69. Two weeks ago when I was in Nevada prices were $3.39. Station after station I've driven by lately has plastic bags over the handles of their gas pumps, indicating they are out of gas. Apparently we have Ike to thank. This massive pipeline, the Colonial Pipeline, that runs from Texas to the Northeast isn't running at capacity thanks to hurricane Ike.

Yes. Fun? Yes. I was doing a little online research for a class I'm taking when I stumbled upon a website that describes the autopsy of a Furby. It's a sad tale of Toh-Loo-Ka, a young and innocent Furby who only survived three days,and the arduous examination that took place post mortum to determine the cause of his/her untimely death. Oddly, it's an entertaining read. Poor thing.
