Gas: National average now $4/gallon

Yikes! I guess I should be thrilled I passed a gas station yesterday where gas was only $3.82. But $4/gallon? That scares the hell out of me because I don't think the run-up is done yet. I suppose that's why I am anxiously awaiting news in the next few weeks on whether or not I'll get a pink slip (again). I was nearly furloughed after 9/11 and I may not be out of the woods this time either. The numbers should be out in the next few weeks. I guess I'll just have to wait and see. Fingers crossed!

  • let's see...we are paying about $4.10, if not more, in vegas... hasn't passed $60 mark yet, though it is coming...

  • Gas is crazy. I cancelled my 4th of July vacation weekend NOT because I couldn't afford the party in Chicago, but because I can't afford the $4.29 a gallon to get there and back. :( It may have also foiled my October trip to Cedar Point.

  • Cedar Point? October? Hmm...

That sucks that your 4th of July weekend was canned. I have a feeling that's happening to a lot of people right now. They can't afford to fly or drive, so people are just staying home. It's a sad state of things for sure.
