Wicked weather

The weather here last night was pretty wicked. We we were under severe
thunderstorm warnings and a tornado watch for several hours. Heavy
rain, crazy thunder and lightning and strong winds slammed us for a while, and in the process, a tree between my yard and a neighbor's snapped in half. Crazy! We didn't hear or see it last night as the tree was on the garage side of the house where there are no windows or rooms. Fortunately neither my neighbor's nor my house were hit, and the tree is resting in the neighbor's yard.

It's funny, in a way, because my neighbor and I have both talked about taking that tree down in the past. We both agreed it should happen, but neither of us have done anything about it. It just so happens we have some landscapers coming next week to do some work... maybe they'll have a tree to chop up while they're at it.
