Puffy face

To say the least. I am actually very lopsided at the moment. One side is much puffier than the other. So far, I am doing all right. I was miserable yesterday morning for a short time (after I got home but before I had the meds). Now, however, my hydrocodone, 800mg motrin, antiobiotic and steroid are keeping me happy. I've been dining on pudding, applesauce, slim fast and yogurt so far. I am about to expand that menu to include jell-o, tomato soup and mashed potatoes. Yummy! I am so not in the mood to eat (maybe I'll lose a few pounds!) but I have to eat to take some of the meds, otherwise I'll get sick. And the thought of puking with stitches in the back of my mouth doesn't sound remotely appealing.

The extraction went ok. It was supposed to take an hour but ended up taking 1.5 hours. The bottom two presented a challenge as each of the teeth were hooked around the bone. The surgeon had to do some drilling to get the teeth out, and because of that, I can expect some extra swellingl Hooray! At least the pain isn't bad. The bleeding stopped last night and I haven't had problems with that. I did a warm salt water rinse a short time ago and there was just a little blood. The ice packs on my cheeks feel pretty damn good too. I did some talking on the phone earlier today, probably too much. It caused a little extra pain.

For whatever reason, maybe its the meds, but I am having the hardest damn time typing. So, before I lose my mind I'll finish up here and write another update tomorrow. Until then, thanks for thinking about me!
