Dinner Savvy

A few weeks ago Beth and I, along with some of our friends here, went to a place called Dinner Savvy. It's a business where you prepare several meals for yourself in their kitchen and then bring the food home to freeze and cook as wanted. You pick your meals ahead of time from their monthly menu, they stock all the ingredients and have the recipes on hand for the chosen meals and you get to put them together.

It's a lot of fun because there is no clean-up (they do it all for you) and you don't have to worry about shopping for the ingredients. It's all right there and ready. We have enough food for about twelve dinners with left overs and paid about $120. Not a bad deal if you ask me. The price is normally $240 and you pick twelve meals. But each meal serves 4-6 people. Since it's just SpyC and I, one meal is actually two meals plus left overs. So we split our twelve with a friend, and as a result, split the price. And we still walked away with 12 meals. Love it! The menu changes every month and we've all vowed to go back this month. In fact, we'll probably make it a monthly routine.

We've cooked several of the meals already and have enjoye each one of them. So far we've tried the marinated flank steak, greek chicken and teriyaki salmon. They also include sides like rice pilaf for free. Those have been quite tasty, too. We also got three molten chocolate cakes, but SpyC ate all three. Can you believe it? I didn't get a single bite. Pig.
