Beach Cruiser

Two weeks ago we went for a ride down to Wilmington and checked out the sites there. It's a neat historic town located on the Cape Fear River, just off the Atlantic Coast. It's really quite pretty there. One of the nearby beach towns, Carolina Beach, has a section of beach for four-wheel drive vehicles. At first I thought it was sad people were allowed to drive on the beach, but after I realized I was in my 4 X 4 vehicle, it sounded cool.

We paid the $10 price (it is a city park), put it in four-wheel drive and off we went. We had such a blast I had to stop a couple of times because we were laughing our asses off. Little moguls were formed in the sand and driving over them, even at less than ten miles per hour, caused the car to bottm out the shocks sending us into fits of hysteria. We still laugh about it. The cool thing is you can camp there overnight and that is something I'd like to do. It is redneck heaven for sure. But there's nothing wrong with being a redneck every now and then. Is there?
