Can I have my teeth extracted?
Sounds like more fun than continuing the home search in North Carolina. I spent the better part of three days attempting to get to North Carolina, and when I finally did I got to head out with our realtor, by myself, to search for a home. SpyC was not able to be with us because of work. I was so stressed thinking I was going to have to make a decision by myself, that I don't really know that I took in all that I saw that day. I just know nothing reached out and grabbed me and that is not a good thing.
In hind-sight, it was a fruitful trip. It helped us realize what we're looking for isn't really available in the price range we've set for ourselves, so we've upped the ante $20k. That has opened up a whole new host of possibilities, homes that are more closely inline with what we're wanting. We've felt bad dragging our realtor along with us as we figure it out, but she reassures us this process is normal and we're not changing our minds/parameters and more than the next buyer. It makes us feel better, but we still feel bad for her, and are extremely thankful for her help. She's soopa doopa!
We will be meeting with her again next week, this time together, to look at more property. A whole bunch more homes will come up in her property search this time since we've upped the price. We're looking forward to seeing what we can find now, and are hopeful we'll be able to make an offer while we're there. We'll see. In the meantime, things are progressing nicely with our home sale here in Vegas. The property inspection is complete and we passed with no work/repairs necessary. That's a relief. The buyers are pushing for an earlier closing, and I joked with our realtor here that I'd close early, for a price. But that won't happen. At least we have really eager buyers... now we just need to find a house to move to.
