The rain rain went away, but there maybe more coming today...

It cleared up early last night after 17 hours of straight rain. That's extremely rare for Las Vegas. My parents arrived on-time, a miracle, since their pilot told them this was their first on-time departure that day. Apparently the weather in Vegas earlier yesterday slowed things down quite a bit since there were some pretty low ceilings (at one point, you couldn't even see the top of the Stratosphere). My brother's wife was flying in to Vegas from Sacramento last night for a birthday bash and she arrived nearly three hours late. Eek!

Despite the mud pit that is now my backyard, we are going to utilize the dry time anyway and get some work done. Carter and Pat are on their way over and I'm finishing my first cup of coffee. Soon, I'll be throwing on the ol' muddies and heading off to Home Depot for some sprinkler supplies and to also pick up the sand and cement to make the base for the patio. We'll also be picking up a rototiller. Should be fun.
