Skiing was so much fun! The weather held out long enough for us to have a great day, not too hot and not too cold. The snow was great and there were zero lift lines. It was perfect! My mom, Beth and I went, and the three of us had a great day skiing.

I made tortellini soup for dinner last night, and everybody loved it! That was nice to know, since Beth had been the only person other than me who had tried it. Jim and Cathy Simpson came over for dinner, and they both really enjoyed it too. So, when I get around to updating my recipe page, that will surely be on it. Of course I had to go to Raley's to get some fixins for the soup, and of course I ran into more people. This time it was Betty Stodick, my bus driver from elementary and high school, and "Bonnie," one of the long time ski club bus drivers--both very nice women. Every time I come home, I see tons of people. Especially at Raley's. That's where I always find them.

Spring Break is here, for Bethany, that is! For me, well, same old daily grind. But, Bethany and I drove up to G-ville yesterday from Las Vegas. Beth will be here for the week, and I will be leaving tomorrow night for the bay area to sit that miserable reserve again! Just five more days. It is a nice, and much needed break for Beth though. Our friend Dan will be coming home with her on Friday, and will be staying for several days. That should be a lot of fun.

Beth and I went to Raley's to get some stuff for dinner last night and ran into Ms. Stohl, uh, Mrs. Franklin...with her DAUGHTER! I couldn't believe that. She looked to be two or three years old. I haven't seen her since a year after we graduated high school. For those of you who didn't know her, she was my drama teacher for four years in high school. Speaking of running into people...I flew from New York to Los Angeles on Saturday and Cameron Diaz was on my flight. She was very nice and gracious, and always said thank you, although she didn't require a lot. I got to talk with her a little about the Oscar's, and what the evening entailed as far as work and pleasure goes. I enjoyed having her on the flight.

Well, we are off to go skiing, and need to get going! Kirkwood, here we come!

Well, once again I've dropped off the face of the earth. But, I'm back! Happy day for us all! Although I have not been working much, I have been in San Jose anticipating a trip. This has been one of the worst reserve months in a long time. I have been sitting a lot and not flying, which is unusual. The more I sit, the more hotel rooms I need to get, and the more it costs me. Not a pretty situation. But, I will only sit reserve every fourth month come September, so that will be very, very nice.

Beth and I yesterday decided we were going to tackle the downstairs bathroom and redo it. We decided to paint it a dark beige and replace all the hardware to give it a more cozy feel. I painted it last night and we purchased a towel ring to replace the existing towel bar, a new toilet paper holder, faucet for the sink and a framed oval mirror, to replace the unframed oval mirror. We also purchased a new light fixture for the bathroom.

Oh, how home improvement comes with its problems! (I am sure Jenn could write a book about it!) The existing light fixture is a 3 light bar above the sink. We wanted to replace it with a three light tulip with a round base. Problem is, light bars are just fastened to the wall, where as a rounded base fixture requires a junction box. I knew that. And I thought there would be a box there. So, I am going back to Home Depot to look for a three light tulip bar (which my dad says exist) and go from there. Otherwise, I will re-install the original light and wait for my dad to come down an install the other one. He recommended I not do it, since he says they are even tricky for him, and he does them all the time.

Also, this oval mirror is killing me. I measured the distance between the hanging hooks, measured it out on the wall and even used a leveler to make sure it was straight and would hang right. No such luck! I even double checked everything! Now I have a hole in the wall, thanks to the drywall anchor, and I have to move the damn thing! So, when I go back to Home Depot, I need to get a drywall repair kit, which I needed anyway to cover the holes from the towel bar. It was stupid for the builder to put a full size towel bar in the bathroom, when it is only a half bath. So, I hung the towel ring next to the sink (makes sense, huh?), and took down the towel bar.

Everything is done though, with the exception of hanging the mirror and figuring out what to do with the light. Not too bad of a project, I just wish the mirror would have cooperated more. Bad mirror!

As you may know from Jenn's blog, the message board we were using from Multicity is no longer free, and therefore, Jenn and I no longer have it. She did, however, find a new service which I have yet to set up, but will someday...someday. Meantime, the discuss link at the end of each entry will not work. I'll let you know when it is up and running again. Also, as mentioned here before, this entire website will be relocating soon. I will let you know of the new address (I have one but want to change it) and will post it soon. This webpage will still exist for a while, with a link on it to the new website.

As Jenn and I have discussed briefly, it seems freebies in cyber space are starting to go by the wayside. As mentioned before, sometime this month Multicity, who powers Jenn's and mine's message boards, is discontinuing their free service. Jenn informed me today that Geocities will no longer accept FTP for publication of websites, which is how my blog ends up there. So, with that in mind, I will have to make some changes.

So, Beth and mine's website is likely to change address sometime in the next month. When it does, I will be sure to let all of you know. I have been wanting to revamp the website anyway, so this will provide good opportunity for that to happen. Stay tuned, and we'll let you know where it goes.

Also, I have completed a website with my pictures from the Salt Lake City 2002 Winter Olympic Games. However, I am in the process of learning how to publish it "manually" and not use the "point and click" services Jenn yells at me for. :-) With work and all, it will probably be several weeks before it is on-line, so hang in there. Some of the pictures will be worth the wait, I think. The good news is I have received the new modem/network combo card for my laptop which will allow me to use it on the road again. That will allow me to be a little more productive while I am gone. I am also working on a couple of endeavors here at home, so my time is being stretched thin.

Beth and I are planning to go to Reno for the first weekend of Spring Break (March 22) to go skiing. Hopefully my schedule will allow that to happen. Also, Dan and Brett and Sherry have expressed interest in coming down over Spring Break. Hopefully it all works out, and everyone can make it. Chances are though, I won't be here to see any of them! ;-(

I traveled to San Francisco and back today for a Purser Business Meeting and Luncheon at work. The meeting was somewhat informative and lunch was yummy. I found a new recipe to mimic, this time it's dessert. If it turns out (whenever I get around to trying it), I will be sure to put it on the recipe page. It was delicious and seems to be very easy. We'll see.
