Home again...for a short time.
Even though I am not on vacation, and Bethany is too, we are both hittin' the road, er, the air, uh, whatever. We decided last minute tonight we will fly to Reno tomorrow night for Father's Day. We will be at Beth's parent's house tomorrow afternoon/early evening for a Father's Day get together there, and then will head to the airport about 6:45 to fly to Reno. We won't be gone long though...we'll be heading home late Monday night. It should be a nice little get together at Dale and Carter's, and also at my parent's house. We'll be heading up to my grandpa's at Lake Tahoe for a Father's Day BBQ on Sunday.
Otherwise the next two weeks, with the exception of our trip to New York later on, will comprise of various home improvement type jobs. We'll be painting some rooms/walls, touching up the paint in high traffic areas, making and installing solar screens for the windows and straightening up around the house. Currently, our living and dining room are full of Beth's stuff from school. There's tons of it! Since she is moving to a new school next year, she had to take all her stuff with her. It's amazing how much she accumulated in a year and a half of teaching. We may also work on parts of the backyard, perhaps starting to dig for a sprinkler system. We hope to really tackle that this fall. Another goal of ours is to fix up the landscaping up front, making it a little more exciting, and also redoing our dining room table. We've got a lot of wotk ahead of us, but it should be fun endough. In the end, it should all look great. It better!
