Mommy's here! But, she's about to leave! ;-(

It's sad that time goes by so fast. There are many times when time can't go fast enough, and others when time goes too fast. Mommy's plane leaves today at 5:20. We had a nice time though. Mom's main reason for coming to Vegas was to get a dress for my brother's wedding. And, she was successful. Mom arrived about noon on Sunday, and her, Beth and I met up with Dale and Carter for lunch at the "Thee Angry Wives Pub". Clever name, I thought. We had a nice time. Then, mom, Beth and I headed out to Primm to the Fashion Outlet Mall...one of the best outlets malls I've ever been too! Great outlet prices. Beth and I love going there because there is a Pottery Barn and Wiliams~Sonoma outlet there. Always trouble... Then we headed back into town to the Venetian, which I had only been to when it first opened and mom had never been.

We visisted the Hermitage Museum there and saw original oil on canvas paintings by Picasso, Cezanne, Renoir, Kandinsky, Matisse, Bonnard and Modigliani among others. Quite an impressive display for Las Vegas, although none of the paintings were among the artist's most famous. We then browsed the Grand Canal Shoppes before eating a very nice Cinco de Mayo dinner at Taqueria Canonito on the Grand Canal.

Yesterday, mom and I hit the stores for some real shopping: all the shopping she had come to do. We first went to David's Bridal where she was "quaranteed to find something" and did. After two hours, mom walked out with the perfect dress and we will be headed back there today to pick up the shoes that are being specially dyed to match the dress. After David's, we headed to the Galleria Mall and browsed and had lunch. Then, we headed to Belz Outlet World, this mega outlet mall right in Las Vegas. Although it is huge (over 155 stores!) it is a typical outlet mall where prices are usually far from outlet, although good deals can be found. We hit several stores and after several hours headed home. Once we snatched Beth up, we headed out again to Costco and eventually dinner at Gardunos, a delicious Mexican resteraunt in the new Palms Hotel and Casino. The food and atmosphere were awesome! And that brings us to today...the saddest day...

Mom and I are going to meet Beth for lunch at Beth's school, then mom and I are going to FedEx to ship all the stuff she bought while here home, and then we have other errands like picking up the shoes before I drop her at the airport around 3:30. It's sad, but 3:30 is only 5.5 hours away...yo estoy muy triste! It's been a nice three days though, and great to spend them with my mom. Hopefully, I can get her and dad to come down here a little more often then they have in the past.
