Well, I have confirmed that even though I don't work again until the 11th, I am going to have to leave the ninth since this damn convention in town is filling all the flights. I also discovered there is a Mac convention in San Francisco this week, too, adding even more pain to my non-rev travels. And to further the bad news, I have yet to find a trip to pick up in that time so I can a) make some extra money, b) not be bored out of my mind and c) not have to stay in a hotel two nights in a row (still cheaper than buying a ticket on the tenth!)

I see from Amber's journal she has made it to Athens, GA. Amber was here Wednesday night last week, on her grand adventure cross country to see the Mouse. What a trip! I don't know if I could do it, especially by myself! Amber, you're a real trooper! It's nice to hear though she has made it most of the way, and safely. Eight more hours, Amber! Good luck!

I did not mention in my last blog that the trip crew schedule gave me that kept me away on New Year's had one very big upside. I had a Portland layover and got to see Jenn and Ryan. Jenn made me a delicious dinner; a surprise and a welcome one at that. Thanks Jenn. It was the first time I got to see her new home -- it looks like a lot of fun. As Jenn has said a thousand times, it has great potential. It will take a lot of hard work, but as Jenn and I agree, well worth it in the end. It's nice to have a new home, but as I was telling Jenn, my home lacks the character that her home has. You just can't find that in a new home. I would love to fix up a house like Jenn's, but I also know the work and labor involved in doing so. Jenn, you are welcome here any time, especially when you need a break!
